Hi, I’m Jaima, an expert in visual design. I never miss a beat on the street when watching people and neither does Tommy Ton, the famous street fashion photographer. My passion for sunglasses all started at the age of 13. As a child I had very sensitive eyes to the sun and had to wear prescription sunglasses. My first pair were round, leopard framed sunglasses. I thought they were great and so began my love for funky eye wear. This past week, we have seen several images of sunglass fashions all the way from New York to London. All photographed by Tommy Ton for Style.com. No matter where you are, big sunglasses with bold colors and shapes seem to be in style. I Love these sunglasses…they really make a designer statement.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week started this week in New York. Photographer Tommy Ton was out and about shooting the latest street fashions. Today it was all about leopard prints. I just happen to love animal skins and especially leopard as it always brings out a wild side in everyone’s personal style. The faux leopard coat reminds me of my mother in laws vintage coat I inherited. Alice was stylish then and the leopard coat is still in trend 30 years later. Read on…

Also, the pony bag is a classic, poised beautifully against the blue suit ensemble: a great look!
That is the beauty of an animal print, it goes with any style and suits everyone. I can’t tell you how much I love the Mercedes Benz Fashion Shows. All the new fall styles and creations from designers are brought to us, it’s very exciting and inspiring. Hmmmmm……..this gives, me an idea. I must design a leopard bag for my fall collection. What do you think? I believe everyone should have at least one leopard bag in their wardrobe to flaunt. Until tomorrow…live on the wild side and add a touch of leopard into your life!
Enjoy the view!
Cheers.

Hi, I’m Jaima, a designer who loves flowers. After blogging about this spring’s floral fashion trend, I started to think about our English lab named Daisy. She was a birthday gift I gave my husband and once he got this adorable pup in his arms, he promptly named her “Daisy.” The Daisy name comes from our family history and is my actually my “nickname”. Well, the nickname originated from my two aunties…..Aunt Maud and Daisy who lived in England. In honor of them, my mother nicknamed my sister and I Maud and Daisy as we supposedly looked and behaved a lot like our aunties. Thinking about the name and flower Daisy made me wonder about the meaning and symbolism of a “Daisy?” Read on…

Who doesn’t love a tote bag? This SAHARA TOTE is great for going to work or for overnight stays. The bag has a zipper top so nobody can get their hand in the bag and a great side pocket for easy access to cell phones or sunglasses. . Inside has my zebra pink designer fabric so its wild and crazy! Let me know you what you think of my bag as I’d love to hear your comments. Just send me an email!
Cheers and Good Health.

Hi, I’m Jaima, designer for Jaima & Co. I was born to English parents and grew up within a family who loved to garden. This only made it natural for me to love flowers and nature. The fact that floral’s are coming back into style is fabulous. Flowers have a long history in design and were the first natural motifs to be illustrated into books in the early 15th century. Here are some of the latest trends coming this spring and fall which sport a floral pattern. Here’s looking to the garden for inspiration….

It’s so organic to bring the beauty of the outside into your wardrobe! Who doesn’t love flowers?
Hi, I’m Jaima, a designer who was once nicknamed “Queen of pattern ” when I created wallpaper collections. Well, I have been busy designing bags lately and wanted to share with you my latest bag design. I decided to create several iPad cases as they seem to be the rage and why not? The iPad is terrific! Here is the first design for an iPad cover. The design was inspired from one of my designer wallpaper patterns known as Natures Grass. I love grass cloths so it only seemed natural to create this simple yet sophisticated woven iPad case which emulates my famous wallpaper print. Read more..
It is an exciting time in design at the moment. I, Jaima, the designer have just finished creating several new pieces for the fall and winter collection. The Monica Toggle Necklace was designed in response to customers asking for more drop layered necklaces. Especially the Monica as the faceted agate, pearls and crystals reflect a subtle bling from them making the necklace sparkle. This jewelry is fashionable and very versatile as the colors of the agate include oyster, charcoals and beige so its a necklace that is neutral and it looks great on creams as well as dark hues like Black. Why do I love this piece?
- It’s easy to put on and take off yet is secure with the toggle clasp.
- The style is timeless.
- The necklace has great value for the style as the pearls are real, as well as the agate and crystals.
- The neutral colors go well with various fashions.

Layering is all the rage today in clothing which is perfect for this piece. The Monica Necklace is layers but not to heavy and bulky. Whether your classic or modernist this can fit any style of look. I happen to be more of a modern traditionalist so I like things with a twist and this suits my modern styling of clothing or can be easily paired wit a classic suit. One think I do love is the cor0rdinating wrap layered bracelet with the mother of pearl clasp. Well, have a look at my first video below as I just want to share with you how it looks on.

As a designer, I just can’t help absorbing all the gorgeous colors around me when out and about in Chicago. This outdoor planter is filled with mum’s, little pepper plants, Chinese lantern branches and greens that truly could be the making of a beautiful brooch! I love coming across items that inspire me creatively to design and color. This does for sure. What a fantastic decorative planter…its exceptional!
